A Wisconsin hunter got a small taste of his own venison this weekend when he was attacked by the same doe he was hunting.
Reportedly, the 72-year-old bow hunter had shot the deer with a crossbow when the woodland creature came for him.
“Apparently the man was going through some thick brush and the deer leaped out and went after him,” said officer Bonack of the Sheriff’s Office in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. “The doe struck him in the leg with her head.”
The man was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, but the status of his injuries are currently unknown.
As for the deer, hopefully she hoofed it all the way home and will now live to see another season.
This time the hunters have become the hunted. Find out what happened!
