Supernatural star and fan favorite Jared Padalecki (32) had fans and family alike worried for his well being this weekend after tweeting out several dark messages to his two million followers.

Jared, who was supposed to attend the closing ceremonies of Jus In Bello Convention in Rome this past weekend, cancelled his public appearances after writing the following ominous tweets:

“Dear #JIBCON and #AHBL6. I am in desperate and urgent need of my family. I am so sorry to tell you this but I must head home.”

“I need all the love I can get right now. Please please give me a few seconds of your time and write me. #AlwaysKeepFighting”

Needless to say, millions of fans were concerned for his health after reading the frightening messages. Earlier this year, Padalecki confessed that he has dealt with depression in the past, so it’s natural to assume that this could be a related episode. #AlwaysKeepFighting – the hashtag from his T-shirt campaign – has never been more appropriate than in wishing Padalecki support in his ongoing battle.

His fellow cast members spoke positively about him during their time at JIBCon, and actor Jensen Ackles assured fans that Padalecki was at home with family. According to Ackles and a statement released by Padalecki’s manager, the actor was suffering from exhaustion and needed to cancel his trips to Italy and Australia while recovering.

On a happier note, Padalecki tweeted to his fans this morning showing that he is feeling much better than he was earlier this weekend. Wishing him a speedy recovery and return back to normalcy!
