Holy Non Sequiturs!
The 1960s Batman TV series brought us many things: ridiculous costumes, corny fight scenes, real-life depictions of the Caped Crusader, the Boy Wonder, and a plethora of dastardly villains, but above all else, it gave us Robin’s varied and always situationally-appropriate exclamations.
Batman and Robin are the foremost crimefighting duo in comics, and their prowess should not be taken lightly. For the sake of ’60s children’s television, however, the characters were a tad more lighthearted and animated. This brought us phrases like “Holy Pincushions!”, “Holy Robert Louis Stevenson!”, “Holy Homework!”, and countless other meaningless interjections that we still know and love today.
“Holy Tintinnabulation!” Yeah, Robin was pretty weird. You won’t believe these crazy exclamations!
