Norman Reedus is a model, actor of many bada$$ characters, and, apparently, an advocate for mothers breastfeeding their children.
Best known for roles like Murphy MacManus in Boondock Saints and especially Daryl Dixon on AMC’s The Walking Dead, Reedus’ long hair and dark features make him seem more like a rockstar than somebody who stands up for the Free the Nipple movement, but looks can be deceiving.
Last week at the HorrorHound Convention in Cincinnati, the bow-wielding zombie killer was chatting with two new moms about “boobs and babies” when the topic of breastfeeding came up. The women, Tammie Hamed and Libby Dalton, then offered to take a nursing picture with the actor, who reportedly went on to say it was the best picture he ever took.
He put up the following picture on Instagram with the caption “Free it! Love these ladies! Tonight’s show is gonna be awesome!!!” In the picture, he’s sporting a plastic breast for good measure.
From killing walkers to liberating women, it would seem that Norman Reedus’ interests are many and varied. His support for mothers breastfeeding in public probably stems from the fact that his ex-girlfriend, model Helena Christensen, breastfed their son after he was born.
Zombies and knockers, that’s what Norman Reedus cares about. But why is he so passionate about public breastfeeding?
