It’s the future, people, and this latest smartphone trick will blow your friends away. I’m talking about holograms.
No longer just an essential piece of sci-fi, you can project 3D holograms from your own phone by just following these simple steps. Get ready for some quick arts and crafts because you’re going to be the life of the party with this one.
You’ll need: a clear CD case; a box cutter, X-acto knife, or other cutting tool; some tape; a pencil; and a ruler and some graph paper for precision. Draw a trapezoid on the graph paper with a 1cm top, 3.5cm side, and 6cm bottom. Cut out the paper, and then use it as a stencil to cut out four equally-sized pieces of clear plastic from the CD case. Carefully tape these four sides together, and you’re all set.
Next, you just have to find some videos on YouTube that are designed specifically to create holographs, and voilà. Place your plastic ‘projector’ over your screen, and watch your hologram come to life. Dim the lights to make the image even more beautiful.
Try out this trick for yourself and SHARE with friends to see how well you can make it work! I can’t wait to try this.
I had no idea my smartphone could do this!
