If Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 were among your favorite video games growing up, then you’re in luck.
Activison, the video game publisher behind the skateboarding franchise (as well as Crash Bandicoot, Call of Duty, and Guitar Hero), announced today (May 7) that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 is coming to Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 and 4 later this year.
According to the announcement, the game will feature plenty of new levels with tons of opportunities for tricks, customizable characters, and also the ability to play from a wide selection of male and female skateboarders, Tony Hawk being first and foremost among them.
Hot new features will include projectiles, new missions and unlockable content, as well as the ability to play online with players from around the world. Gamers will also have the option to build their own skateparks and share their maps online. It sounds pretty sick, so it might be a franchise worth resurrecting.
