Dinner and a movie has never been so easy.
Okay, so I don’t think I’ve actually eaten at Pizza Hut since the ’90s, but I might just have to after seeing this incredible innovation. The restaurant chain, founded in Kansas in 1958, just unveiled the Blockbuster Box, a new cardboard pizza box that doubles as movie projector for your smartphone.
Designed by Ogilvy & Mather Group Hong Kong, the Blockbuster Box turns from delivery to delightful in just a few easy steps. Each box comes with a lens for projection and even the pizza table serves to hold your phone in place. As an added bonus, you can scan the side of the box for a free movie download (featuring four originals from Pizza Hut). With a dark room, an open wall, and some bluetooth speakers for added effect, this might just be the coolest (and simplest!) thing we’ve seen in a while.
The only bad news is that this isn’t available in the US yet, but considering how popular this could become, it might not be long until we’re doing pizza and movie night across the States. In the meantime, check out this awesome invention below:
