The Earth is not a planet. No really, it’s not, and it all has to do with Pluto. This Week in Geek, we talk about how, by the same definition that was used to demote Pluto to the status of dwarf planet, the Earth and several other so-called “planets” should be demoted, too.
Many scientists still disagree with the International Astronomical Union’s 2006 definition of planet, arguing that the three necessary requisites are too broad to make a totally accurate decision.
