Brienne of Tarth, meet Captain Phasma.

Game of Thrones favorite, six-foot three actress Gwendoline Christie is making waves following the release of her fully-costumed image from Star Wars: The Force Awakens in a Vanity Fair shoot. Her impressive stature and fully chrome-plated look as a First Order officer make for an unbelievably [email protected] photo.

Following months of rumors that Christie would appear as the new character Captain Phasma, this first image makes the confirmation well worth the wait. We’re still unsure of just how evil she’ll be (apparently the First Order are the new antagonists), but it is widely accepted that Phasma is the commanding officer of John Boyega’s stormtrooper Finn.

Other exciting new images from famed photographer Annie Leibovitz’s photo shoot on the set of Episode VII include Adam Driver of Girls as Kylo Ren (the guy with the trifurcated lightsaber), who pretty much looks to be on the Dark Side of things. You can see him pictured below:

More characters include Resistance pilot Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), the heroine Rey (Daisy Ridley), and John Boyega as Finn, the stormtrooper gone good (we assume). Below, you can see actress Lupita Nyong’o ready to have her facial features transmitted to CGI for her role of the pirate Maz Kanata.
