The Oculus Rift virtual reality headset has been a long time coming, but those who were expecting the new gadget to be released by Christmas 2015 will have to stay patient for just a little while longer.
The company announced earlier today (May 6) that the consumer edition headset will be available for preorders in late 2015 and ready to ship in Q1 of 2016.
Enthusiasts were thrilled to see images of what appears to by the final prototype of the product in the company’s blog post from today, which stated that it will begin to release more details in the coming weeks.
According to the announcement,
