The Etch A Sketch has been a staple children’s toy since 1960, and if there wasn’t one in your household, you definitely missed out on one heck of a pastime.

Just ask Christoph Brown, “The Amazing Etch Man.” In his most recent YouTube video, the viral artist uses just an Etch A Sketch–and a miniature one, at that!–to draw the visages of your favorite Avengers.

We’ve seen them in comics, as a cartoon, and in live action, so what’s another medium for some of our favorite superheroes? The Avengers look pretty spot-on, even in the displaced aluminum powder magic of the Etch A Sketch. So what if the Cap’s lips maybe look a little too voluptuous?

See The Amazing Etch Man at work below, as well as a vintage Etch A Sketch commercial for a good laugh. SHARE with your friends if you had an Etch A Sketch when you were growing up!

Don’t forget to take a look back at the humble origins of the Etch A Sketch? That’s a damn catchy jingle. (That dramatic key change!)

Silly boys, you didn’t need to go to a barber for those bowl cuts. At least they brought their Etch A Sketch to pass the time.

You’ve never seen the Avengers like this before!
