OH, THE HORROR!
AMC Studios is beta-testing a new streaming service called Shudder that offers only horror flicks. The beta testing is closed now and there’s no official release date for Shudder just yet. As horror movies seem to be getting more and more popular, AMC is cashing in on the popularity of its yearly Fear Fest, which plays horror movie after horror movie the two weeks leading up to Halloween.
Access to Shudder will cost you $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year, and you will have access to over 200 horror films from various sub-genres like “psychos and madmen,” Korean horror and cult indie movies. With your subscription, you also get Shudder.tv, which live streams endless horror.
Shudder will become available on iOS, Android and Roku.
If you’re like us, you are waiting on pins and needles because you’ve gone though all the quality horror on Amazon and Netflix twice already.
AMC is testing out a new horror-based streaming service. We can’t wait to get scared!
