Everybody knows Abbey Road. Heck, you might have even been there and recreated the photograph. But today, for the first time, Google Maps is taking you inside Abbey Road, the legendary recording studio that has been the cradle of such famous artists as The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and John Williams.
Not only can you virtually travel through the halls of the famous studio, built into a Georgian townhouse in London, but you can take a guided tour featuring sound clips, video recording sessions, interviews with artists like Jay Z, and hands-on activities like mixing tracks.
Google Maps has taken us to some cool places before, like the Palace of Versailles, but this is a cool new step with interactive capabilities that viewers both young and old will like.
Looks like we’re one step closer to never having to leave our homes!
You know the crosswalk, but now you can go inside Abbey Road!
