‘Avengers’ Interview Flips Sexist Questions for Scarlett Johansson and Mark Ruffalo

Actresses, especially those in superhero movies, tend to bear the brunt of what’s often considered a sexist industry.

When not getting called a sl*t outright, many women are treated as one-dimensional ambassadors of fashion and makeup designers while on the red carpet, leading many famous actresses like Reese Witherspoon and Amy Poehler to promote the #AskHerMore campaign, which encourages asking women about their careers and charities instead of their clothes.

Cosmo UK took that idea to heart when interviewing Avengers stars Scarlett Johansson and Mark Ruffalo last week, and the journalist decided to switch around the typical questions.

The result is an awesome and unique interview that asks Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/ the Hulk) questions like, “What are you wearing on the red carpet this evening?” and “Did you feel much pressure to slim down, get in shape, go on a diet?” while Scarlett gets to discuss how she does most (“like 94%”) of her own stunts and her favorite thing about playing Natasha Romanova/ Black Widow.

Looks like the best superpower is super empowerment.
